*Justice Karnan, Constitutionalism and his legitimate appeal to the Appropriate Authority to Initiate A Comprehensive Inquiry in the Matter of Corrupt Judges*

For the first time in the history of the Constitution of India that a "Constitutional authority" has come forward and widened the ambit of "Constitutionalism" for the benefit of "We the People of India".

Article 32, 226, 214 and 124 are being redefined along with article 14, 17 and 19 of the Constitution of India.

The institutional hierarchy of the Supreme Court of India vis a vie the High Courts is the latest subject of discussions in the Bar Rooms all across the country.

Unfortunately the Highest Judicial Institution had become an exclusive domain of the "Privileged and the People preferred by the Privileged" after the second Judges Case.

Hon'ble Justice Karnan's Judicial Activism is giving a democratic character to the institution of Judiciary which is otherwise shrouded in charges of deep rooted corruption.

Today, I remember Justice V.R.Krishna Iyer's succinct observations on the Supreme Court of India. The great jurist has famously said that *"The Supreme Court " is Supreme not because the men sitting there have Supreme knowledge or understanding of Law, but because there is no court above it.*

I think Justice Karnan's fearless and unwavering  Constitutional Activism has propelled the movement of *Judicial Activism* in the right direction.
